leo + olive HOME CO. was one of those ideas.

I've spent much of my life helping other people build things— businesses, homes, plans, strategies and futures. I love that work, and it is still very much a part of who I am. But I wanted something that allowed me to create simply for the sake of creating.

Something slower. More tangible. Made with my own hands, in my own home, from ingredients I thoughtfully chose. 

And in a way, the inspiration goes back much further than I initially realized.

Growing up, I remember my mom filling our home with those wildly strong bags of traditional potpourri— the kinds that seemed to be everywhere back then. Little did I know, it would later become a core memory of what it felt like coming home to a familiar scent. As an adult, I found myself wanting a simpler, more natural way to create that same feeling of coming home. 

Fruit. Whole spices. Herbs. Botanicals. A pot of water simmering slowly on the stove.

That little bit of nostalgia eventually became part of the idea behind leo + olive.

What began as something I had thought about creating for years became our first collection of handcrafted botanical simmer blends— simple rituals designed to make home feel warmer, cozier and a little more special. 

Everything is currently made in small batches and with intention. And as leo + olive grows, so will what we create— seasonal collections, natural home fragrances, home goods and thoughtful pieces for gathering, gifting and everyday living.

The dream is much bigger than a simmer blend.

But this feels like a pretty good place to start.
